Manufacturers must qualify their products with the Bluetooth SIG if they wish to use the Bluetooth name and logo. This involves testing that a device meets Bluetooth specifications.
By using SoC and module manufacturers' already Qualified Design ID (QDIDs), testing can be significantly reduced. Testing is performed by an authorised test lab such as 7Layers, AT4wireless, TUV Rheinland and Wipro.
